Our Favorite and Least Favorite Nursing Scrubs

Our Favorite and Least Favorite Nursing Scrubs

I’m a scrub person.  I love scrubs.  If I could wear them all the time and NOT look like I’m working, I would.  Over the years, I have tried many of them.  My focus is comfort, followed by lightweight, fitting true to size and the way they are designed.

My long-standing favorite has been eclipsed this year.

  1. Fabletics – I’m a skeptic but it does make sense that a company that is specializing in workout clothes and leisure gear would make scrubs that are all these things. These are by far my favorites, and I am very picky.  They fit well, they are the perfect thickness, and they maintain a good temperature.
  2. Sketchers – I know these aren’t part of the “in” scrubs, but they are my go-to summer scrubs. They are so lightweight and comfortable, and the material is super breathable. My main gig is ER so I need something that I can move in and not be hot.  The temp in the ER changes a lot (and I have found this in every ER).
  3. Grey’s Anatomy – Old school but comfortable. I like the breathable material.  My only complaint is that they wear down too fast.

My least favorites:

  1. Mandala scrubs – They did not fit true to size, and I found that they were very heavy, which is great in the winter but not so much in the summer. That said they are well-made, they are just too heavy.
  2. WonderWink – Not my favorite. I don’t like to bash anyone, but these scrubs are just not designed well for an ER setting.  The material was irritating to my skin and they do not fit well.
